That being said, here I am, again, going on a whale watch.
So, here's the boat. Seems nice and harmless enough!
We're off!
I am saying goodbye to land!
The inside is nice, but, still, it's a BOAT.
My friend is far more interested in EATING than listening to my complaining about being on a boat. I don't understand how anyone could eat on a boat.
YEAH! This guy has the right idea; pump yourself fully of Dramamine and pass out!
The first time I went on a whale watch, I had my camera all ready. However, I was SO seasick that when it came time to take the photos, I couldn't even hold the camera still. So, I had no photographs to prove I had even seen any whales. This time, I was determined to take the photos. Fortunately, it was a much bigger boat and the water wasn't as rough.
After about 30 minutes riding out, we spot our first whales. We were very lucky to see this - a mother Humpback Whale with her baby!
The whales pay no never mind to the boats watching them. They come very close to them, and even swim under them.
There was another boat out watching also.
Very, very close to the boat!
They show off their tails!
After doing the little show for us, the swam off into the horizon. As much as I whine and complain about the boat, this is really something everyone should do at least once. Seeing these beautiful whales living in the wild is positively amazing.
You know why I'm smiling? Because we are almost back on LAND!
