Gloucester, Massachusetts

My friend, a movie buff, wanted to visit this town because the movie The Perfect Storm was filmed and set in Gloucester.   This amazing fishing town was a great place to visit.  They LOVE their fishermen, that’s for sure!  I was SO glad we went.

A beautiful Fishermen's Memorial is in the center of town on the water.

 

The names of the fishermen who have lost their lives.

 

These 6 fishermen lost their lives aboard the vessel the Andrea Gail in 1991; that storm is the subject of the movie, The Perfect Storm.

Ten Pound Island Lighthouse

 

 

I love detail - I am all about simple detail.  And, I LOVED this little bronze lighthouse on the marker for this lighthouse.  I thought it was beautiful!
